“Shin Bet” is an archaic term, it’s the initials of Sheirut Bitachon, which is what the Israeli internal security service was called then. The proper modern up-to-date term is “Shabak” which is the initials of Sheirut Bitachon Klali or in English, General Security Service. This may sound petty but to people living in Israel it comes through as out of touch and journalistically unprofessional.
