Police and tax authority inspectors on Wednesday morning, arrived in Jerusalem’s Meah Shearim neighborhood as police move ahead with the investigation against the Meah Shearim affiliated Vaad Artzi fund.
Six persons affiliated with the Eida Chareidis, including the personal gabbai of Gavaad HaGaon HaRav Yitzchak Tuvia Weiss Shlita were taken into custody last month as suspects in a case which police allege is involved in international money laundering and tax evasion.
The tax inspectors, escorted by police, arrived in Meah Shearim this morning in connection with that case, and they were met with a volley of rocks. Baruch Hashem there was no injuries. At least two of the assailants were placed under arrest.

Tax collectors are never popular, especially among people who do not perceive the government as being “their” legitimate government.
#1 Lack of popularity is no excuse for being welcomed with rocks.
Maybe they can arrange to pay taxes to Iran.
