jf02, you completely misconstrued my comment. Of all things we’ve argued about this is the last one I had any feminist connotations in mind. To break it down in simpler terms, other than the meshichist issue, to whom it is applicable, there is no other plausible halachic differentiation between a non-meshichist Lubavitcher shochet and your local reliable Orthodox shochet.
But to settle this point, instead of arguing with me, why don’t you ask your husband for his reason and report back.
