Honestly as far as apps go Pokemon Go is a very safe and innocent app. There are many incentives to walk around and explore the area you live in. There are ways to get Pokemon by walking and running around. It helps get kids out of the house and doing something a more productive then just sitting in the house playing video games. There has already been noticeable positive effects on some people with depression that play the game.
I do understand that it can be a annoying having Pokestops in some areas, but on the whole this is probably one of the better apps and if you really want to pick a bone with certain apps, there are many more which are much much worse.
