Bergen County Prosecutor John L. Molinelli confirmed this morning that the 19-year-old man accused of firebombing a Rutherford rabbi’s home and igniting a small arson blaze outside a Paramus synagogue has been charged with a plot to torch a third target.
Authorities found materials for a “pre-deployed” device outside the synagogue after questioning Anthony M. Graziano, derailing what likely would have been another attack.
“Some good investigative work by the prosecutor’s office, local police, the FBI and the ATF may have prevented further damage—and possibly more serious injuries,” sources say.
Molinelli has scheduled a 2 p.m. news conference to announce the additional charges.
