The candidate for Monroe Highway Superintendent, who was endorsed by leading Askonim in Kiryas Yoel Mr. Roy A. Montanye Jr has apparently won the election. As of this time (10:50PM EST) he has 3,916 of the votes, with his opponent John M Karl receiving only 865 votes.

This elected position was very important to the residents of Kiryas Yoel – as this position involves the maintenance of the streets, and snow removal in the Village of Kiryas Joel.
