A number of well-known chareidi askanim in Rechovot report their vehicles were vandalized during the night. Tires were slashed and the vehicles were significantly damaged, all on the same street.
Vehicles belonging to Rav Eliyahu Yeret (head of Ezras Cholim), Rav Tzvi Schwartz (head of Lev Achim in the city), Rav Eliezer Rubinstein (senior Lev Achim official in the north) and Rav Shlomo Klein (Gur chossid in Rechovot) were targeted.
According to the Kikar Shabbat report, most of the residents of the apartment building targeted are not frum, pointing to a hate attack against the chareidi community since only their cars were vandalized. The tires of four vehicles were slashed in a parking lot that contained 12 vehicles, signaling this was not a random act.
Residents are using area surveillance camera footage in the hope of obtaining a glimpse at the perpetrators. It appears that haven’t yet filed a complaint with police.
One victim adds that while they are well known, they are not in the political arena, but rather occupied with chessed, but it appears that nevertheless someone wished to target them.

They still haven’t filed a police report? Why? In the US the first thing done would be to call the police. Maybe they don’t believe the police would care or do anything constructive? I don’t know the reason, just offering an idea.
don’t worry, this won’t make it to the Israeli headlines, since it’s its secular violence and vandalism against charedim, would it be the other way around, woe would the reporters bring out their bullhorn and blow it out of proportion..
