Google and YouTube are offering users a chance to “hang out” with President Obama, via an interview next week.
On Jan. 30, a week from today, Obama will answer questions submitted by YouTube uses in an interview to be live-streamed, Google said in announcing what it calls a Google+ Hangout.
“Today through January 28, people can submit video or text questions to the White House YouTube channel, and vote on their favorites,” said the statement from Google.
“President Obama will respond to a selection of top-voted YouTube questions during the interview, and several participants will be invited to join the President in the Google+ Hangout live,” the statement said.
Obama’s campaign made big use of social media in the 2008 election, and is likely to do so again this year.
