Two suspects are in custody believed connected to a wave of break-ins in Bnei Brak. The two were apprehended red handed, as they tried breaking into a silver store on Shimshon HaGibor Street. Two Shomrim volunteers detected them at work, trying to get into the store but they fled on a motorcycle before they could be apprehended.
The two were apprehended a short time later on Breslov Street, believed to be the suspects trying to break into the silver store. At the time they were apprehended they were trying to break into another place. Authorities report they had burglars’ tools, masks and gloves in their possession when taken into custody.
There was also a break-in reported in the Pinat HaKesef silver store on Chazon Ish Street, corner of Rabbi Akiva Street in the city center. The thieves tied the store gate to a car and then smashed the store window with a hammer. Silver items were stolen.
Shomrim officials told the media that they will continue efforts to apprehend members of the burglary gang, hopefully in the coming days.
