Has anyone yet clearly explained the difference between nivel peh and curse words?

I can try: Nivul peh is described in Chapter 11 of Mesilas Yeshorim.

Anything else is, I assume, not nivul peh. Another concept that may prove useful is lashon n’kiyah. Can someone provide the location of the story of the Kohen who described the size of his portion of lechem haponim as

“the tail of a sheretz ?”
