The Gerrer Mosdos had their conference last week – this year being held in the Regina Palace Hotel in Stresa, Italy. Special for the dinner, an exact replica of what a home in a “Shtetle” looked like prior to WWII was set up – Click HERE for pictures. The conference is the main fundraiser for the Gerrer Mosdos – and has been held in various places throughout the world in past years. The event is attended by “top-notch” Gerrer Chassdim. Following the dinner, the Gerrer Rebbe Shlita flew to Antwerp where he spent Shabbos Parshas Chayei Sarah. The Rebbe then announced a surprise visit to NYC – and is scheduled to arrive around noon on Sunday. A Kabolas Ponim / Mincha will be held in Boro Park at the Gerrer Mesivta (16th Avenue @ 54th Street).

what constitutes a “top-notch” Gerrrer chusid? How much was the minimum n’dova (minus travel expenses)for the z’chus to attend the dinner?
it was a 100 grand a head
To attend this affair was $100.000, Btw it might be that the Rabbe will stay for Shabbos in New York
Although its a lot of money, I dont think it has to be paid all in one shot!
Can this money not be don, ated in a period of a few years?
Guess that’s the only way to raise money nowadays.
Are there many interested in what a shtele home looked like? Go up to the old bungalow colonies and there are plenty around, add an out-house and indoor fire burning stove.
Are there Gerrer Chassidim in Stresa, Italy? Why not spend the money for the conference in EretYisroel? Did the Italians ever make a conference in EY?
Does anybody know if the Rebbe is staying for shabbos in Boro Park ?
No he left already NY will be in London a day or two
BRUCHA V’HATZLUCHA!
