A source tells Yeshivaworld that all copper pipes at Machna Kiryas Yoel, located in Round-Top New york, were stolen from all over the camp. This includes pipes from the kitchen, bunks, mikvah and other locations. The police report that they have received close to 40 reports of copper pipes being stolen during the past month. Additionally, since copper piping is also used in the area for electric grounding lines, thieves are climbing up the poles to steal it.

Sounds like Trenton NJ
Who would think that out of all things out there they would steal USED COPPER PIPES!?!?
What has this world come to?!?!?!
I dont think insolation or locks would help in this case!!
#4: Metal stealing, particularly copper pipes and aluminum electrical wires, has become very popular in the criminal element, due to the increasing prices of metals.
There’s a lot of danger, not just monetary loss. A huge fatal explosion in Jersey City a few weeks ago was caused by vagrants stealing pipes which happened to be part of a connected gas line.
Sounds like Camden to. I wouldn’t be surprised if a rash of similar typr burglaries happen all over the mountains now that every ‘Tom’ is selling the pipes to metal shops. In order to stop this we should go after the people buying these pipes to melt them. The robbers get paid $60 a pound and those who have the pipes stolen have to put in hundreds repairing the pipes.
Ribono Shel Olam, what weren’t ganavim think of next?
they should lock up the one that is buying it
that should put a stop to it
What I find amazing is that here in California farmers must guard thier aluminum pipe all the time any copper that is not used during work day by any laborer is locked up. Why dont these people look around the world at those rashas that steal metals? Why doesnt any see that this is valuable and use other piping for plumbing and electrical work making the gonifs job harder? Simple solutions to make our life easier.
My sister had her bushes stolen from in front of her house in Flatbush! Talk about nerve! In New York whatever is not locked down you can just kiss goodbye! Sure wasn’t like that back in Cleveland.
