4:00AM EST: A veteran Hatzolah Paramedic from NY traveling with his family has been involved in a serious collision on the New York State Thruway, in Upstate New York. The vehicle reportedly overturned on the Interstate 87 near Exit 21, around 2:00AM, Friday morning. One of his children was R”L ejected from the vehicle.
The family of seven, were all transported to Albany Medical Center with various injuries.
Please be Mispallel for Shlomo Zalman Ben Raizel Chedva, who is in the pediatric ICU with some serious injures.
Hatzolah members from Kiryas Yoel, as well as members from New York are currently in the hospital assisting the family. Albany County Sheriff Craig Apple personally went to the hospital to offer any assistance possible after being informed of the crash by Rabbi Abe Friedman, who serves as the Chaplain in Albany County.
The cause of the crash is unknown at this time, and any further information will be published when it is available to YWN.
UPDATE 10:00AM EST: Please continue to be Mispallel for Shlomo Zalman Ben Raizel Chedva, who remains in critical but stable condition – with numerous internal injuries. The rest of the family – many of whom suffered from broken bones – will I”H be released before Shabbos.
