President Barack Obama said Monday that the United States has asked Iran to return a U.S. drone aircraft that Iran claims it recently brought down in Iranian territory.
Obama said he wouldn’t comment “on intelligence matters that are classified.” But, he said during a White House news conference with Iraqi Prime Minister Nouri al-Maliki that the U.S. wants the top-secret aircraft back. “We have asked for it back. We’ll see how the Iranians respond,” Obama said.
The president’s comments come one day after it was reported that an Iranian official said the country would not return the drone.
“No nation welcomes other countries’ spy drones in its territory, and no one sends back the spying equipment and its information back to the country of origin,” said Gen. Hossein Salami, deputy commander of the Armed Forces, according to the semi-official Fars news agency.
“It makes no difference where this drone originated and which group or country sent it to invade our air space,” Salami said. “This was an act of invasion and belligerence.”

If a hostile country’s aircraft crashed in the US, would the US return it? We’ld probably study it and put it in a museum, which is exactly what the Iranians plan to do. The request is so absurd as to doubt the intelligence of whomever made it?
In addition to all of Obama’s many other amazing ‘skills’,
it appears he is also a COMEDIAN.

Please stop embarrasing the USA. Do you have any advisors or do you just wake up and do whatever comes to your brilliant mind?
What kind of silly request is that? They want to wipe us off the map, do you think they’re going to return our drone?

What a Shoteh for thinking that they would listen and belittling himself and the US as a result.
Obama would not be so foolish as to make himself look naive. It’s clear that there is an under the table deal in which he is offering Iran something valuable instead-to remain top secret- and will show the world that his way of dialogue was correct after all-just in time for elections he will become a national hero as the drone is delivered back into American hands.
Obama is going L’shitoso. He campaigned on the notion that we can just talk nicely to Iran and Iran will respond in kind. Well, sorry Barack for the rude awakening.

What an embarassment to beg that the drone be returned.
Yet not one investigation into how it got there in the first place.
