People at simchas like to see a drummer who can go wild, which I also enjoy.

However,in my humble opinion, the criteria for a good drummer is one who can keep perfect timing, play odd-timing,the ability to play ambidextrous, discipline, creativity, and one who can listen to the band and as one-a team player.
