I once learned that one way to fight your yetzer horah is to create a brick wall that you cannot penetrate to prevent you from accessing whatever your taavah is. So throwing out your entire PC would be one immediate, practical way of overcoming the problem, although you’re right that it doesn’t remedy the root of the problem.
