Small business owners in Lower Manhattan are planning a counter-protest Monday against the Occupy Wall Street crowd.
They say the motley crew hanging around Zuccotti Park is destroying their businesses.
Fox 5 News reported that small businesses in the area have lost a reported $479,000 due to a lack of regular traffic.
The business owners, who employ hundreds of people, will be on the steps of City Hall at 5 p.m. Their main message will be that it’s time for the crowds to go home. They are also upset that Mayor Bloomberg has done nothing to help get rid of the encampment.

Just curious. Is this a public or private park? Do these fellows require permits? If they have the necessary papers, do they have expiration dates or geographical limits?
its a privately owned public space. as long as they leave enough room on the sidewalks there is really nothing the city can do.
