Kiryat Motzkin Chief Rabbi David Druckman was questioned by police in connection to statements released by him following the terrorist attack in Merkaz HaRav yeshiva. He shared this experience with Arutz-7 Hebrew News.
The rabbi explained at the core of police concerns are statements that followed the massacre in Merkaz HaRav in 2008, in which he and other rabbonim publically condemned employing Arabs.
The rav explained that in principle he is not cooperating with investigators, explaining that when they question former Mossad Intelligence Agency Director Ephraim Halevy for his derogatory remarks against the chareidi tzibur. He questions why members of the academic community are not questioned, those who incite constantly against Jews and the state, but police only question rabbonim.
Rabbi Druckman stated he will not cooperate with police in this matter, and prior to releasing him, when asked “would you like to comment or say something?” he told Arutz-7 that he stated, “We are all waiting for the redemption and moshiach”.
