In an interesting and possibly significant turn of events, Arabs who filed a lawsuit in the Jerusalem Magistrate’s Court seeking damages based on claims Jews benefited from their land for years in Migron have withdrawn the lawsuit after the court demanded proof of land ownership.

It is surmised the Arabs actually have no such proof, but ironically when the same Arabs appeared before the Supreme Court, their claim was accepted, a ruling handed down, and three Jewish homes were destroyed. The High Court was apparently less concerned with documentation backing up the claim of ownership. Claims by Jews that the disputed land was legally purchased were rejected by the nation’s highest court, but they were not provided with an opportunity to present the documentation to back their claim.
