ames- re: mamazetz- I think nobody was really able to assist you because the expression/word is really “mamazetzER”. And as Joseph did mention earlier, this means the “the-mother-of-all” & has that type of connotation. In your example: it was a mamazether of a house- the biggest, grandest house ever
