Tuesday Afternoon News Briefs From Eretz Yisrael

The Jerusalem home of Peace Now activist Chagit Ofran was targeted in a ‘price tag’ graffiti attack during the night. The graffiti stated “Rabin is waiting for you” and “Chagit Ofran ob”m”, timed to coincide with the yahrzeit of the late prime minister.

** Knesset Speaker Reuven Rivlin: “Price tag” presents a greater threat to the Zionist vision than the Iranian threat and Arab terror.

** In response to Defense Minister Ehud Barak absenting himself from Knesset two days more than permitted, the Knesset Ethics Committee will make a deduction from his salary. Aides to the minister explain his absences were directly related to the responsibilities of his senior position.
