Levaya Of Mir Rosh Yeshiva ZATZAL Makes It’s Way To Har Menuchos

16:00 IL: The levaya of Mir Rosh Yeshiva HaGaon HaRav Nosson Tzvi Finkel Zatzal continues in Yerushalayim as this time. The levaya has arrived at the entrance to the city by the Jerusalem-Tel Aviv Highway, Route 1, which has been closed down to accommodate the levaya. Needless to say the traffic in the area is significantly backed up as the procession makes it way to Har Menuchos.

Police now report “tens of thousands” are taking part in the levaya. It is also noteworthy to mention that along the entire route from Mir, the sidewalks have been full of people of all ages and all walks of life, stopping and seemingly taking part in the Kovod HaTorah surrounding the Rosh Yeshiva’s levaya. Participants are also on rooftops and looking out of windows along the levaya route.

According to a Kol Chai Radio’s Yisrael Rosner, Posek HaDor HaGaon HaRav Yosef Sholom Elyashiv Shlita is taking part in the levaya along with other gedolim and prominent rabbonim shlita.

Ichud Hatzolah reports treating 17 people who fainted, with two requiring transport to a hospital.

The levaya is working its way to Har Menuchos to complete kvura before shekiya, which in Yerushalayim is 4:448pm.

NOTE: A complete report on the Levaya will be published later.
