The benefits being self-defined. Whatever reason you might have for not wanting to store a history of your web travels. Could be because you are using a public computer, could be because you don’t want your harddrive cluttered, or could be because you are looking for a perfect gift idea for your favorite blogger who is having a birthday soon and you don’t want him to see what you are buying. Not that I have access to your computer, but just in case ;). The possible benefits are whatever you can think of. But to most people, it doesn’t really matter. It’s a feature that you may never care to use.
