Officials report that an Egyptian helicopter pilot on Sunday entered Israeli airspace without authorization and when instructed to backtrack, refused to comply for close to a half hour.
The chopper was flying over the Negev late Sunday afternoon, prompting the air force to scramble four F-16 fighter planes, the Yediot Achronot states. The fighter planes fired warning shots at the chopper which persuaded him to turn around and head home.
Air force officials state the pilot of the chopper ignored efforts to establish radio contact. It is added that the purpose of the flight is unknown but officials are not ruling out that it was an intelligence gathering mission.

This is unacceptable. Why was it not shot down? Aren’t there procedures for such things?
Why would shooting it down not be justified?
Why are we the biggest wooses in the world, always standing down, and when finally defending ourselves it is with the utmost restraint and “precision”?
Maybe its just me, but this is very frustrating.
hey, it does say that they fired warning shots, so you don’t just stam shoot first without warning
#1- They followed procedures- they fired warning shots and it retreated. If it hadn’t, maybe they would have taken further action.
Why is there no response from Egypt about this?
