Bonei Olam’s second annual Miami evening of inspiration will take place tonight, Tuesday evening October 16th at the home of Mr. & Mrs. Abbey and Helene Berkowitz 4434 North Bay Road in Miami Beach. Guest speaker, Rav Moshe Tuvia Lieff, Rav of Bais Yisroel in Minneapolis. Rabbi Shlomo Bochner will also address the crowd. An inspiring video presentation will be shown. Light Buffet will be served. If you live in the Miami area, you will not want to miss this inspiring event. Last year’s event drew close to 300 people, who all walked away inspired. This event is for both men and women.
Bonei Olam is a worldwide organization that has financed thousands of fertility related treatments for couples across the globe. To date, Bonei Olam is a proud partner in the births of over 800 babies around the world, including dozens in the Florida area. We are looking forward to another inspirational evening that will even out-do the first Bonei Olam event.
As a Miami Beacher I am proud to state that Miami Beach has a busy “winter season” that starts in October and ends well into March.
No, I am not talking about the weather or the tourists or the “snowbirds.” Rather I am talking about the non-stop Tzedaka functions for a multitude of organizations. The calendar is full on a weekly basis with events to benefit many organizations in Eretz Yisroel and throughout the United States. A few of these organizations that are the recipients of the Miami community’s largesse are BMG, Chaim Berlin, Torah V’daas, Telz, Waterbury, Bambi, Od Yosef Chai, Peylim-Lev L’Achim, Shaarei Tzedek, Chinush Atzmai and many more.
It is a source of chizuk for me, a former New Yorker, to see the enthusiasm and generosity with which my friends and neighbors respond.
As a community that is often associated with gashmius and pritzus, it is wonderful to publicize the hachnosos orchim, tzedaka and chessed that are much more important parts of who we are.
