Police are searching for a man that crashed into two girls walking home from school, injuring one of them. The victims, 15 year-old Basha Gerstenfeld and Johana Navarro, both students of Bais Yaakov, were walking home last Wednesday while the driver was stopped at a crossway. The suspect made contact with the girls, looked at their traditional Jewish dress, and sped toward them, leaving Gerstenfeld with a broken arm. “It’s really important to catch him. No one should be going around hitting people, and getting away with it. It’s not right,” said Gerstenfeld.
The teenage girl believes this was a case of anti-semitism. “It is known that this is a Jewish school, we were wearing the uniform. He was staring straight at us; and then he just moved into us. I made sure he was looking before we crossed the street. He deliberately just pushed into us,” said Navarro, the other victim.
North Miami Beach Police are still unsure what the motive what the driver was, or if this was a hate crime.
Authorities say the description of the suspects vehicle is a green Jeep Cherokee from the early 90’s.

Why is this surfacing almost a week later? And why is it only at the end of the article that we learn where this happened? And there are WAY too many assumptions stated as facts. Made contact? Looked at their dress? Very shady. I suspect a hidden agenda here.
I spoke with a close friend from North Miami Beach last night. Apparently, the girls were walking home from school, (which is only a few blocks away from the frum community of NMB) were at the corner waiting to cross and the driver actually waived them to go. As soon as they started going, he hit the gas pedal, hit the girls, got out of the car and looked at them both lying on the floor and then drove off. No hidden agenda, just an article that has sketchy details. The families of the girls kept it quiet until now……not sure why???

this story is one of the most disturbing stories that I have seen in a long time. we know that there are sickos out there and we know that there are those who hate us out there.
