Agents from the FBI and the U.S. Health and Human Services Administration arrested nearly a dozen people in Brooklyn and Queens early Wednesday in connection with a scheme to defraud the federal Medicare program of about $95 million.
Federal indictments alleging the fraud were obtained by the U.S. Attorney’s office in Brooklyn, law enforcement sources tell NBC New York.
Those charged are expected in federal court in Brooklyn later Wednesday.
No further details were immediately available.
