Iron Dome Failed The Test Over The Weekend


The new Iron Dome rocket intercept system intended to provide protection for the Ashdod area simply failed over the weekend. Officials state that the technical malfunction was detected, calling it a relatively minor problem.

The problem has been rectified, with the experts explaining it appears the system was not programmed correctly, which resulted in the unit not monitoring the area it is supposed to protect, and therefore, it did not detect the incoming missiles.

Officials add that in the past, the unit detected incoming missiles and neutralized them. After reprogramming the system they are confident this will be the case in the future if chas v’sholom there is additional attacks.

  1. The IRON DOME never did much and was only less than 30% efficient. It was more of an expensive PR prank than a really answer to murderous enemy rocket attacks. The Israeli government should be thankful that they do not need to pass an intelligence test to become a member of the government.
