IDF Chief of Staff Lt.-Gen. Benny Gantz released a statement that for as long as Hamas terrorists are imprisoned in Israel, the terror organization will indeed continue efforts to abduct additional IDF soldiers, hoping to use them as negotiating pawns towards gaining the release of those terrorists.
It appears the IDF commander released his statement in response to Hamas statements to that effect in the Arab electronic media, vowing to continue the struggle against Israel until the very last prisoner is released.
