The current government is planning to remove a number of Jewish communities, keeping in line with the destruction that has been synonymous with right-wing governments in the past. This follows the destruction of three homes in Migron in September 2011.
In the prime minister’s sights is Givat Assaf in the Binyamin Regional Council of Shomron, established in memory of Assaf Hershkowitz, 30, a resident of Ofrah who was gunned down by terrorists in his vehicle near his home on May 1, 2001, the site of the current community.
On Tuesday evening, 13 Tishrei, Ofrah residents manned the entrance of the community, distributing flyers to motorists calling upon them to assist in saving Givat Assaf.
Ironically, Prime Minister Binyamin Netanyahu continues to succeed in playing both sides of the fence, releasing statements of a right-wing nationalistic nature while selling Israel to her enemies in diplomatic dealings with the United States and other countries.
It was right-wing governments that gave away Yamit (PM Menachem Begin), Gush Katif and Northern Shomron (PM Ariel Sharon) and now, Binyamin Netanyahu, who continues to dance the dance and say what many wish to hear, but as MK (Ichud HaLeumi) Yaakov Katz has stated repeatedly, it is time to get rid of Bibi, who poses a danger to the future of all communities throughout Yehuda and Shomron.
