I did not see this thread before, but Rav Schachter holds that since we have the real Techeilis nowadays it’s better to not wear Tzitzis at all than to wear Tzitzis without Techeiles. He says there is an Issur D’Oraisa of Bal Tigrah if you don’t wear Techeiles.
