Survey: Over 80 Percent Of Israelis Will Fast


According to a report in the daily Yisrael HaYom, over 80% of Israelis responding to a survey on Facebook signaled they plan to fast on Yom Kippur. The newspaper placed the survey on its Facebook page, and received 6,500 responses with 80.1% stating they will fast on the holy day. 19.9% said no thanks, stating they will not fast.

Yisrael HaYom claims its page on Facebook is the ‘most popular’ among Israeli papers, with 160,000 plus fans.

  1. This shows how the people who blame the Ultra-Orthodox for “pushing their weight around” by moving the clock before Yom Kippur-are full of it! %80 of Israelis are fasting-not just the Ulra-Orthodox.
