A source tells NBC New York that New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie will announce this afternoon he has decided, for real this time, that he is not running for the Republican presidential nomination next year.
He scheduled a 1 p.m. appearance in Trenton.
The outspoken former state attorney general has repeatedly said he would not run, but began to waver in recent days.
Last January, he said he had made a pledge to Garden State voters to be their governor. In May, he said he was “thrilled”by the attention, but added “I just don’t want to do it.”

If he can do more for the people of nj if he ran for president then its better to run
NJ’s gain is the Nations Loss.
And last time it was his own brother who said that he’s not running. So, personally, I’m going to wait till I hear it from him, however he himself has said that he’s not running so I guess the ony thing that can be taken away from this press conference would be for him to announce that he IS running 🙂
2. Its NOT the nation’s loss. Its just not NJ’s gain. He is mostly good for a northeast state but too liberal for the country.
