Radio Shack May Open In Israel, Again

Radio Shack, popular in North America and in 30 countries worldwide, may be moving back to Israel. The franchise currently operates 7,100 stores around the world. Radio Shack tried making it in Israel about a decade ago but closed its doors in all three stores about two years after opening, realizing business simply was not picking up.

According to a Yediot Achronot report, the company has recently sent corporate executives to Israel to feel out the turf, signaling a desire to return and try a second time. The report states that the Radio Shack officials met with senior executives of ACE, which is operating stores around the country.
