A 23-year-old Los Angeles man was in custody today on suspicion of luring a 7-year-old girl into a secluded area of a Sherman Oaks Shul and assaulting her on Simchas Torah afternoon. The man was known to frequent Chabad of Sherman Oaks. The suspect was taken into custody and was booked at the Van Nuys jail on suspicion of felony kidnapping and was being held in lieu of $600,000 bail.
