A number of vehicles parked in proximity to shuls were stolen over the three day Rosh Hashanah weekend, the daily HaMevaser reports. Many mispallalim drove to shul on erev yomtov, hoping to drive home after maariv on motzei Shabbos. Some of these mispallalim were less than pleased to learn their vehicles were gone when they arrived on motzei Shabbos.
A number of cars were stolen from the intersection of Brandeis and Malchei Yisrael Streets, apparently the result of thieves realizing the area was deserted and the opportunity presented itself.
Quoting one of the victims anonymously, HaMevaser reports he feels the non-Jews employed in the shuls may be responsible or at least linked to the thefts. The car owner feels that the thieves simply could not pass up the temptation, many parked cars, realizing no one was coming so the coast was clear, adding that by motzei Shabbos, the cars were probably already disassembled in chop shops.

First check to make sure they were not towed for parking illegally.
Homeless,
The city of Yerushalayim does not (normally) tow vehicles on Shabbos or YomTov.
I think it is lashon hora for an anonymous (of course) victim to accuse the shul staff. Most shuls have vey loyal (and often very longtime) employess who are extremely honest. If what he says is true, then the shuls did not do their homework and check references properly.
