The U.S. Equal Employment Opportunity Commission said it is suing Champion Chevrolet, claiming the Reno auto dealership violated federal law by allowing “the daily harassment” of Jewish employee Jack Adler.
According to a statement from the EEOC, Adler “faced daily cruel slurs and epithets attacking his religion” while working as a desk manager at the dealership.
Adler said he reported the abuse and asked dealership owner Jack Stanko Sr. to order a stop to it, but the harassment continued, he said.
“The slurs were made in the open and even in front of the boss, Jack Stanko, and nothing was done about it,” Adler said in the EEOC statement.
