As PA (Palestinian Authority) leaders busy themselves with the controversial statehood bid in the United Nations, the irony that is part-and-parcel of life in Israel continues.
A policeman stationed at a checkpoint in Shomron, near the community of Peduel, on Thursday morning acted appropriately and professionally when approached to expedite passage of an Arab woman at a checkpoint. The woman arrived with her husband on their way to the hospital to have a baby.
The policeman realized that labor had begun and he addressed the woman’s needs while summoning a MDA ambulance. She was taken to Beilinson Hospital in Petach Tikvah where delivery took place.

Why is this a news story? I would expect a Police officer in Israel or any civilised country to come to the aid of a woman in labor, irrespective of her race, creed or color.
Your implication that the situation could have been different had the roles been reversed does not alter this in any way.
News worthy? OF COURSE, he just helped bring another suicide bomber/terrorist on the world. (we have too many around)
