Minimum wage is unfortunately not the minimum. It depends partially on the age of the babysitter but also on other factors: how many children, are they awake or asleep, is the babysitter responsible for feeding and/or putting to bed, and is it a wealthy community or not. For full-time daycare in the babysitter’s home it can be as little as $5 or $6 an hour.
