16:43: Rock-throwing attacks against Jewish motorists near the Machpelah in Chevron. No injuries were reported.

17:24: A female terrorist armed with a knife was apprehended at the Machpelah in Chevron. No injuries are reported.

** The Knesset will be holding a special session after the Kadima Party received the required number of signatures for such a move during summer recess. Kadima blames the administration for Israel becoming isolated politically as well as the administration’s failed socioeconomic policies.

** PM Netanyahu met in Jerusalem today with German Foreign Minister Guido Westerwelle. They discussed the upcoming PA declaration of statehood, Syria, and Turkey’s severed relations with Israel.

** Russia’s ambassador to the UN told the international body his country will back a PA declaration of statehood later this month.

19:00: Voting in the Labor Party primaries is reported to be low. Polls close at 22:00.
