And more specifically, did use of YWN+/CR go down after the Big Event and/or follow-up events?

Get the timeline straight. The Big Event was cancelled in February of 2008 (http://www.theyeshivaworld.com/news/general/14875/exclusive-lipa-schmeltzer-backs-out-of-big-event-concert.html) but the coffeeroom only opened in June of 2008.
