Final preparations are underway ahead of the upcoming wedding of the grandson of the Munkatcher Rebbe shlita, hachoson Shloima, son of Harav Chaim Eluzar Rabinowitz Munkatcher Rosh Yeshiva to the kallah, a daughter of Harav Meir Yosef Zeltenreich, son of the Tchakaver Rov and son in law of the Sorvasher Rov. Guests from around the world will be arriving in Boro Park this week to participate in the Shabbos Aufruf which will take place this Shabbos, parshas Ki Setze in the Munkatch world headquarters in Boro Park. A special Vaad HaEshel has been working tirelessly for the past few months to ensure that all guests can be accommodated properly and accordingly.
The Wedding, which is slated to take place on Wednesday, 15 Elul, is expected to be attended by thousands of Chasidim as this is the first wedding in the Munkatcher hoif to take place in over three years. The kabolas ponim will take pace in the bais medrash of the Munkatcher Rebbe, and the chuppah will be held on a special stage to be erected on the promenade in front of the bais medrash on Fourteenth Avenue and Fort Seventh Street. Following the chuppah, the Chasidim will then celebrate the seudas hachasuna in the the grand ballrooms of the Palace on McDonald Avenue. The highlight of the wedding will surely be the Rebbe’s Mitzvah Tantz.
In honor of the upcoming wedding, Munkatcher Chassidim will be putting out the latest version of Nigunei Chasidei Munkatch, the fourth in the series, featuring a selection of nigunim sung in the Munkatcher court throughout the year. Many of the melodies were composed by the Rebbe shlita. Chasidim and music lovers alike are anxiously awaiting its release, this coming week.
