Eliyahu Naim z”l, 79, who was seriously injured as he ran to a safe room during an Ashkelon rocket attack two weeks ago, was niftar, succumbing to a serious head injury.
When the Red Alert siren sounded on August 22nd, Eliyahu made his way to their safe room, together with his wife. It appears he stumbled on the way, falling, and striking his head, resulting in a serious head injury.
He was transported to Barzilai Hospital in Ashkelon and from there, transferred to Hadassah Ein Kerem Hospital in Yerushalayim. He remained in the neurosurgical ICU until his petira on Sunday night.
