After an outcry from elected leaders, the Federal Emergency Management Agency has added Brooklyn to its list of areas that will be given federal help after this weekend’s storm.
The other four boroughs were already declared major disaster areas.
Borough President Marty Markowitz complained about being left off the list since he says Brooklyn sustained more than $25 million of damage.
The new declaration means federal disaster assistance will be available to homeowners, renters , and small businesses in Brooklyn.
Several upstate counties were also added to the list today.
To see if you qualify for assistance, call 1-800-621-3362 or visit disasterassistance.gov.

Nu, it probably took them a while to realize the Brooklyn isn’t a neighborhood in Manhattan. The Obama administration isn’t all that bright (given the intent of some of their policies, that’s a feature, not a flaw).
