Ahmadinejad Denied Visit To WTC Site; Will Speak At Columbia University

ah gor.jpgCiting security concerns, the NYPD quickly rejected President Ahmadinejad’s request to tour Ground Zero. Ahmadinejad’s plan had angered critics, who were outraged at the idea of the leader of a country Washington considers a state sponsor of terrorism visiting “hallowed” ground during his trip to the UN General Assembly next week.

In related news, according to the NY Sun, President Ahmadinejad has accepted an invitation to speak at Columbia University on Monday afternoon at a forum. The Iranian Mission to the United Nations requested the invitation through a professor in the Middle East department, Richard Bulliet, who is a specialist on Iran. Mr. Ahmadinejad will field questions from the audience on his government, as well as his views on Israel and the Holocaust.

  1. I sure hope that none of MY tax dollars will be spent on protecting this AchmaNUTJOB when he goes to speak at super-liberal, pro-antisemitic Columbia Terrosit Training Camp.
The NYPD should make him take a bus or subway with no protection. Let the people at ’em, I say.

  2. Hand it once more to the great intellectuals of our time to bring in a sociopath into their school and speak freely of his hatred and plans to destroy the world. I guess their History department forgot the year 1933-1945 on their curriculum. May Hashem have mercy on all of us.

  3. That guy is mamish a mamzer, waht a chutzpiniak to even suggest that he should se the WTC site.

This speaking engagement in Columbia is a train wreck waiting to happen.

  4. Why is anyone surprised that hes speaking at Columbia; you basically have to be a left-wing commie pinko anti-war card-carrying member of al queida to teach there. The train wreck has already happened.

  5. Unfortunately Yavnerd I think the President of Iran will get a very enthusiastic and unusually large crowd. Remember, it is now becoming fashionable among the intellectual elite to be Anti-Semitic, R”L.

  6. How about flooding the mayor’s office with calls to have the NYPD deny support for the Columbia visit. New York has some commitment to get these type of lowlifes to and from the U.N., but we, the New York taxpayers, do not have to support his lecture tour. This would be in the spirit of the Koch Lincoln Center Arafat affair. Can someone supply the phone number?

  7. As of now, the visit to Ground Zero is still on, in spite of the NYPD ban. This is due to the fact that the travel restricitions imposed on foreign dignitaries is not supplied by the NYPD; rather it is provided by the State Department and of course by the President.

Barring an executive order, unfortunately Ray Kelly cannot stop this terrorist from coming. In fact, his protection will be from the Secret Service themselves.

    WHAT AN OUTRAGE!!!

  8. Think Straight, zorg zich nisht.

From AP News: The U.S. ambassador to the United Nations, Zalmay Khalilzad, told reporters Wednesday that the United States would not support Iran’s attempt to use the site for a “photo op.”

“Iran can demonstrate its seriousness about concern with regard to terrorism by taking concrete actions,” such as suspending its uranium enrichment program and dropping support for Lebanese militant group Hezbollah, Khalilzad said.

  9. Follow up on comment 11: If you dial 311, they will transmit your comments to the Mayor’s Office. The operator asked me “is this about the president of Iran?” – so they are apparently getting a lot of calls. Flood ’em!

  10. that picture of the monkey demonstrates the paranoid hysteria of YW editor. monkeys do not subscribe to genocide. this is patently zionistic. the comparison is completely out of order.

  11. to borninthebronx:

    you’re obviously from the bronx.

much as i dont like rudy g, i must say it was rudy who threw arafat out of lincoln center, not koch the liberal. (rudy is is also a liberal, but less so that koch)
