No, Sanpal died in the ambush at Batar ravine, which happened in the first book, but I don’t think the gunpowder was mentioned. New plot lines are ok, why would we have heard about the powder before? But for a character who is present in the storyline to suddenly have a baby, without any clues or hints that it is going to happen at some point is just odd. And it happens twice? But like I said, that’s my only issue.
