golfer: All I’m trying to say is that I have no idea why the Rambam said what he did and I don’t care; I just don’t think we should be coming up with any post facto reasoning as far as how smart or not smart or “differently smart” women are as opposed to men because all that’s going to occur is machlokes.
I’m personally perfectly satisfied with the idea that learning Torah isn’t “my” mitzvah- if it is then I’m even happier but if it’s not then I can live with that. I just don’t think that that’s a reason to hold me (or any other woman) back from it.
