Eyewitness News has learned Governors Cuomo and Christie will support a toll hike– but one that’s less than what Port Authority has proposed.
Sources tell us the governors will announce their support for a $1.50 toll hike to go into effect next month. That hike would bring the peak-time toll for cars to $9.50 from the current $8.00 toll. These would go in effect on the Lincoln Tunnel, Holland Tunnel, and George Washington Bridge.
Off-peak tolls would be $7.50 for E-ZPass riders, and $8 for those paying cash.
PATH fares would increase from $1.75 to $2.00.

Its all a game. The PA proposes a ridiculous hike to which the Gov’s respond with a “compromise” & us sheep cheer them on because $1.50 hike is so much better than a$4 hike. If the PA was a for-profit entity run privately we’d be paying less for better service. Mark my words as soon as we get used to $9.50 it’ll go up to $12
will carpool stay the same?
I find it interesting that no matter in what direction you travel, you always have to pay to get out of New Jersey.
