Statement From Bob Turner on Today’s Terror Attacks on Israel:
“My deepest sympathies go out to the Israeli people today who again have suffered a detestable terror attack on their soil, which Hamas is already praising. It is a reminder of blind hatred arrayed against our Mideast ally – and of America’s moral obligation to stand steadfastly beside the brave Israeli people.”
“Meanwhile, the Obama Administration continues to send American tax dollars to the Palestinian Authority, which in turns pays terrorists in Israeli prisons for their murderous deeds. All U.S. Funding should be cut off to the PA until payments to terrorists stop.”
“Ten years after 9/11, the evil of terrorism continues. We must remain vigilant.”
David Weprin statement on today’s brutal terror attack in Israel [UPDATED VERSION BELOW]:
My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of those killed and hurt in a senseless act of terror in Eilat today. Today’s reprehensible act of terror on innocent civilians going to vacation, once again shows that Israel does not have a responsible partner to negotiate with. I call upon the PA to quickly condemn this terror attack and immediately turn over the terrorists to the Israeli government. It is my understanding that these terrorists came across the border from Egypt and from within Gaza. This highlights the fact that giving up land for peace is never a good idea and the importance of a strong US involvement in making sure the new Egyptian government stems terrorist before the can attack. As somebody who has come under rocket fire in Israel, I know full well the fear and anxiety that Israelis face on a daily basis. Yet, they go about everyday life as if nothing is wrong. They give me inspiration and indeed inspire millions around the world with their determined way of life.
I would like to extend my condolences to the families of those murdered and to wish a refuah shleima to those injured. My condolences also to Prime Minister Netanyahu and the entire nation as they grapple with yet another tragedy. The nation of Israel will live on.
UPDATED STATEMENT BY WEPRIN:
“My thoughts and prayers are with the victims and families of those killed and hurt in a senseless act of terror in Eilat today. Today’s reprehensible act of terror on innocent civilians going to vacation and in a sickly calculated move, the brave first responder responding to the attack, once again shows that Israel does not have a responsible negotiating partner in it’s search for peace. I call upon the PA to quickly condemn this terror attack and immediately apprehend and turn over the terrorists responsible for this senseless act of terror to the Israeli government. It is my understanding that these terrorists came across the border from Egypt and from within Gaza. This highlights the fact that giving up land for peace is never a good idea and the importance of a strong US involvement in making sure the new Egyptian government stems terrorist before the can attack. As somebody who has come under rocket fire in Israel, I know full well the fear and anxiety that Israelies face on a daily basis. Yet, they go about everyday life as if nothing is wrong. They give me inspiration and indeed inspire millions around the world with their determined way of life.
I would like to extend my condolences to the families of those murdered and to wish a refuah shleima to those injured. My condolences also to Prime Minister Netanyahu and the entire nation as they grapple with yet another senseless attack. I have no doubt that the resilience Israel has shown in the past will be on full display as the rise from this brutal act of terror.”
