Bloomberg Flies El Al To Israel To Prove It’s Safe, Says Flight Restrictions Hand Hamas Undeserved Victory

bloIn a bid to urge the Federal Aviation Administration to lift a ban currently preventing U.S. airlines from flying to Israel, former New York mayor Mike Bloomberg has flown to Tel Aviv in an effort to prove it is safe.

The ban was imposed after a Hamas rocket demolished a home near Ben Gurion Airport in Tel Aviv and as airlines remain skittish following the downing of a passenger plane over Ukraine last week.

Bloomberg, echoing comments made by the Israel Government, said the decision to impose a ban was a victory for the terrorists.

The following is a statement by Bloomberg:

“This evening I will be flying on El Al to Tel Aviv to show solidarity with the Israeli people and to demonstrate that it is safe to fly in and out of Israel. Ben Gurion is the best protected airport in the world and El Al flights have been regularly flying in and out of it safely. The flight restrictions are a mistake that hands Hamas an undeserved victory and should be lifted immediately. I strongly urge the FAA to reverse course and permit US airlines to fly to Israel.”

  1. He is a Tzadik Gomur for showing solidarity & flying to Israel.

I also hope that while there, he takes some time out from his extremely busy schedule to extend his all out campaign of no guns, to every Hamas terrorist.

  2. Kudos to Mike Bloomberg. I didn’t agree with him politically while he was mayor of NYC, but he is the MAN!
And, thanks for your generosity by donating millions of dollars to Hadassah Hospital in Yerushalyim!

  3. Bloomberg is no aviation expert. What on earth does he know about flying safety. Not that I’m saying that the FAA got it right, the risk may not warrant such a measure, but they certainly know better than he. Just because he is doing something that seems appealing, doesn’t mean that he’s on target.
All of a sudden there’s this unprecedented praise for the former mayor, because he’s doing something that is virtuous.

  4. Realemunah-What on earth do you know about? What are you doing for the Israel situation?

Any person that publicly sticks up for Israel or Yidden at this time should be praised, not criticized
